How to enrol at our school

We know that choosing the right school is a big decision especially when your child experiences the world differently. At Eastwood Grange, we work closely with families and local authorities to make sure our setting is the right fit for each young person.

Admissions criteria

  • Have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP)
  • Be between the ages of 5-19
  • We support young people with complex educational, social, emotional and mental health difficulties. This includes SEMH needs, attachment disorders, Autism and ADHD

Our admissions procedure

Step 1: Referral received

We will review the referral and if we feel we may be able to offer a placement, we will arrange an assessment visit to gain further information. This will usually take place in school, but we can conduct visits to your home if more appropriate.

Step 2: Tour of our school

We will invite the young person and parent/carers, or supporting professionals, to Eastwood Grange to meet our team and take a tour of the school. This is an opportunity to ask any questions and for us to find out more about your child and their needs.

Step 3: Placement offer

If we feel that Eastwood Grange School can support your child and their specific needs, we will make a placement offer to the referrer.

Step 4: Transition period

Once a placement is accepted by the young person, their family and any involved professionals, we will make arrangements to transition them into our school and set up an initial meeting.
