Life at Progress School for Parents & Carers

We know that when a child joins our school, their whole family is part of the journey. That’s why we keep communication open, expectations clear and support consistent so you always feel informed and involved.

Below, you’ll find practical information about day-to-day life at Progress School.

Progress School does have a uniform, however we recognise that our young people have varying sensory needs, so they are welcome to wear clothes that they are comfortable in.

We’ve learned that this flexible approach helps reduce anxiety and allows them to express themselves while feeling safe and ready to learn.

We have an on-site chef who caters for each pupil's individual dietary needs, Our chef works closely with all our parents to create a bespoke meal offer for each child.

At Progress School relationships with our families are key. We work very closely with all our parents and carers offering support across a range of issues, as and when we are needed

Each of our children have a Phase Leader who will be your key contact for all aspects of your child's curriculum or any additional questions you have, or support you require.

This Phase Leader and the team working with your child will keep in regular contact through:

A Daily Home School Diary
Fortnightly photo reports,
Termly planning documents
Termly Show Progress Reports
Annual EHCP reviews

All of our parents and carers are encouraged to speak to our staff team if they have any concerns or worries or if they would like to come a visit school.
