Life at Progress School for Parents & Carers

We know that when a child joins our school, their whole family is part of the journey. That’s why we keep communication open, expectations clear and support consistent so you always feel informed and involved.

Below, you’ll find practical information about day-to-day life at Progress School.

Progress School does have a uniform, however we recognise that our young people have varying sensory needs, so they are welcome to wear clothes that they are comfortable in.

We’ve learned that this flexible approach helps reduce anxiety and allows them to express themselves while feeling safe and ready to learn.

We have an on-site chef who caters for each pupil's individual dietary needs.

We want to work in partnership with you. You’ll receive regular updates about your child’s progress and wellbeing and we encourage you to talk to us whenever you need to check in.

My child can be vey anxious about school. The staff have been amazing at understanding his needs and ensuring they are met. The staff go above and beyond to make sure my child is happy and regulated.
