How to enrol at our school

Our admissions process

All admissions are managed through the Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) process in collaboration with the relevant local authority SEN 0-25 team.

On receiving a consultation asking if we can meet the needs and manage the risks for any prospective admissions, we conduct a comprehensive ‘audit of needs’ for each prospective student to assess whether our school can provide appropriate and sustainable support. This assessment considers:

  • Compatibility: Ensuring the student’s needs align with our existing cohort and resources.
  • Sustainability: Evaluating whether we can maintain a long-term, effective placement without compromising the student’s well-being.
  • Responsibility: Acknowledging our duty to all students and staff, ensuring we can safely and appropriately meet the needs of the prospective student without adverse effects on others.

Our aim is always to make informed decisions that prevent placement breakdowns, which can lead to further feelings of rejection and failure for the student. We strive to ensure that every placement is in the best interest of the student and the school community.
