Life at Quay View School for Parents & Carers

We know that when a child joins our school, their whole family is part of the journey. That’s why we keep communication open, expectations clear and support consistent so you always feel informed and involved.

Below, you’ll find practical information about day-to-day life at Quay View School.

At Quay View School, we provide a calm and structured day that supports learning, wellbeing, and personal development. We recognise the importance of routine, clear expectations, and consistent support throughout the school day.

Monday to Friday: 9am - 3pm

All students are provided with a free, freshly prepared lunch each day including a packed lunch if they are on an offsite activity or trip. We offer a selection meals, including:

• Hot meals such as pasta, curry, roast dinners, or jacket potatoes

• Cold options such as sandwiches and salads

Students select their lunch choice from a set menu, which helps our kitchen team plan and prepare meals efficiently. If a student has allergies, dietary requirements, or specific food preferences, we will work with families to ensure suitable options are available.

While school uniform is expected for students in Years 7–11, students in the Sixth Form (Years 12–14) are not required to wear uniform but must follow a respectful dress code appropriate for a school environment.

We want to work in partnership with you. You’ll receive regular updates about your child’s progress and wellbeing and we encourage you to talk to us whenever you need to check in.

Pupils receive a wide range of well-considered therapies and nurture provision. These support pupils emotional needs effectively.
