Reading Schools
One of our School Improvement areas this session is to improve reading across the school. This will include the introduction of book bags with pupils encouraged to select their own genre or reading tasks to take home to share with their parents, carers and family.
Our values at Radio City School are:
Achieving : Kindness : Respect
Our pupils are currently working alongside their teachers to shape a token reward system that captures their commitment to these values and to their engagement and effort in their lessons. We will share our progress with this system soon, to hopefully gain your views.
Full School Review
We are looking forward to welcoming our Aspris Quality Lead, Kerry Ollett; Rebecca Thirkell, Head of ASN and Claire Blackett, Regional Director to Radio City School on Tuesday 31st March to carry out our Full School Review. I would very much like you to be involved in this process and will be in touch again to find out if you would be available to have a short discussion with our Quality Team about your child’s education.
Safeguarding Information for Parents and Families
Our Safeguarding Focus this week is Online safety
Whether your child is taking their first steps into the online world or using it quite a lot, talking to them about navigating the internet safely is one of the most important things you can do to help keep them safer. The more you talk to them about how they use technology like their mobile or games console, the more likely they are to understand your concerns. And the more likely they are to come to you if they feel like something isn’t right.
Check out these links for ideas and tips to help keep your child safe online.
