How to enrol at our school

We know that choosing the right school is a big decision especially when your child experiences the world differently. At our school, we work closely with families and local authorities to make sure our setting is the right fit for each young person. Using tailored care and support, we shape your child’s life helping them grow into the person you know they’ll become.

Admissions process

Given the highly specialised nature of the service at The Ribble Autism School, we are able to take referrals from all over the UK and we welcome enquiries both from parents/carers and local authorities.

Our admissions process is individually tailored to the young person who is considering attending the school. In some cases, the individual will be invited to come for a visit, whereas for those with more severe learning difficulties, staff might go out to the young person and visit them in their current environment. Assessments are also offered if required.

All admissions are overseen by the school Headteacher who has a solid understanding of autism and of what the school is able to offer. Leading the admissions process, she is able to ensure high quality placements that are in the best interests of the young person.
