At Rugeley School, we offer an exceptionally personalised approach to learning. Our young people enjoy a safe, warm, welcoming and relaxed, yet structured environment, which encourages them to develop social, educational and practical skills.

Who we support

We’re an independent specialist school that supports young people aged 5-19 years with a diagnosis of autism and associated learning difficulties within the moderate to severe range.

Our aim is to give more meaning to the environment in which young people with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) exist and to help them to lead fulfilling, happy, meaningful lives and prepare them for an independent adult life.

Located in a beautiful area of rural Staffordshire, Rugeley School provides a modern setting in which young people can achieve an enhanced degree of emotional stability through an active and structured approach to learning which respects their autism.

Rugeley School has outstanding facilities, and the staff are so approachable, understanding and all have a good knowledge of what the children need. The difference in my son is phenomenal, he’s a lot more relaxed, I’m now able to have a full conversation with him, and he’s just come on so much. They’re absolutely outstanding in every aspect and their staff are amazing!
