How we support your child's future

We’re determined to help young people prepare for their future, not just with qualifications, but with the confidence, knowledge and real-world experience to take their next steps with purpose.

Our Careers Education, Information, Advice and Guidance (CEIAG) programme is designed to be inclusive, inspiring and completely tailored to each student’s strengths, interests and goals.

Career pathways

Throughout their time at Rugeley School, our young people will be presented with a range of different career pathways through:

  • Enrichment days
  • Topic lessons
  • Life skills
  • Work experience
  • Community inclusion

We use the ‘Gatsby Benchmark’ system to ensure there is high quality support for young people, enabling them to make informed decisions about their future. From year 8 onwards, parents and their children have access to careers advice and guidance from an independent career’s advisor.

Further information can be found in our careers policy.
