How we enrich the curriculum

At Unsted Park School, we know that learning doesn’t just happen in the classroom. That’s why we offer a wide range of enrichment activities designed to help young people build confidence, explore new interests and discover what makes them feel good—mentally, physically and emotionally.

We provide opportunities for our young people to try new things in a way that suits their learning style. If gentle encouragement is what it takes then we take small steps. We believe that developing skills and connecting with their community should feel meaningful and fun.

Equipping young people with skills for life

We have developed a dedicated life skills programme to give our young people learning experiences and opportunities that will support them throughout their lives. It gives the practical knowledge and skills to manage different situations in the community, with their peers and their families.

From travel training to mock interviews, healthy living to staying safe online, this programme supports our young people to grow into responsible independent choice makers. Life skills also enables young people to reflect on their own values and attitudes, and explore the complex and sometimes conflicting range of values and attitudes they encounter now and in the future.
