Life at Unsted Park School for Parents & Carers

We know that when a child joins our school, their whole family is part of the journey. That’s why we keep communication open, expectations clear and support consistent so you always feel informed and involved.

Below, you’ll find practical information about day-to-day life at Unsted Park School.

Our school day is structured to support focus, balance and wellbeing:

Monday - Thursday: 8:50am - 3:20pm
Friday: 8:50am - 2pm

These hours help young people manage their energy, build routine and still have time to rest or reflect at the end of the day.

- Fuelling our learning: We provide lunches that change every four weeks, which always includes meat and vegetarian options.
- Breakfast club: Young people can have breakfast with their friends. Cereal, toast and fruit juice is on offer from 8.50am - 9am.
- Leisurely lunch: We run a number of lunch time clubs which include sports, board games, Wii, art and photography.

If students travel long distances to get to school, they may need some time to regulate at the start of the day. That’s why we offer activities for the first half an hour of school to prepare for learning.

We want to work in partnership with you. You’ll receive regular updates about your child’s progress and wellbeing and we encourage you to talk to us whenever you need to check in.

From the moment my son started at Unsted all our lives changed for the better. I knew straight away it was the right environment for him, somewhere where he felt safe and supported. I cannot praise the school and its staff enough for the patience they have shown and the support they have given us over the years.
