Admissions - Fromefield Manor School

We know that choosing the right school is a big decision especially when your child experiences the world differently. At our school, we work closely with families and local authorities to make sure our setting is the right fit for each young person. Using tailored care and support, we shape your child’s life helping them grow into the person you know they’ll become.

Admissions criteria

Aged 11-19 with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and associated complex needs
Have an Educational, Health and Care Plan (EHCP)

Our admissions procedure

Step 1: Referral reviewed

Our Referrals Coordinator, who works closely with our Head Teacher and Pastoral Lead, will review each referral and determine whether we will be able to meet the young person's needs.

Step 2: Assessment visit

If we think we can offer the right support, we will organise to meet the young person at their school and then invite them and their parents/carers to tour our school.

Step 3: Placement offer

We will make a placement offer to the referrer, which includes how we envisage meeting the young person’s needs and the anticipated outcomes.

Step 4: Person-centred planning

We will arrange a Person-centred Planning (PCP) meeting with key staff and parents/carers to exchange vital information, laying the foundation for a smooth transition and successful placement for the young person.
