Who we support

North Hill House School is a specialist education school supporting up to 66 young people aged 6 – 19 with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and associated conditions, which may include ADHD and dyslexia amongst others.

We understand that our young people often join us having previously had a negative experience of schooling.

We work collaboratively with pupils to provide them with better opportunities for success, allowing them to feel better about education, and to reach their full potential.

What makes North Hill House School unique?

Our class sizes are small to provide tailored teaching and support to the young people in our school. On average, there are between 2-6 young people per class, with a teacher and learning support assistants. Where necessary and appropriate, we are also able to explore bespoke 1:1 learning packages for individuals who need that level of support.

Our School is a place where pupils are given the skills and opportunities to achieve in all areas of their life. We help them to understand themselves and the potential impact of their autism and barriers they may face. They are provided with opportunities to learn the value of engagement, hard work and to experience success. Pupils attending North Hill House can see for themselves that they are making progress, becoming more independent, and making choices for themselves in preparation for becoming a lifelong learner whilst contributing to wider society.
