How we support your child's future

We are determined to help young people prepare for their future, not just with qualifications, but with the confidence, knowledge and real-world experience to take their next steps with purpose.

Our Careers Education, Information, Advice and Guidance (CEIAG) programme is designed to be inclusive, inspiring and completely tailored to each student’s strengths, interests and goals.

Our Designated careers lead

Our careers lead works closely with the school team, families and external providers to ensure every student is ready to exceed expectations.

Careers education starts early and builds over time.

Every young person at Aspris Telford School receives:

  • A personalised vocational plan
  • Weekly careers lessons that explore pathways and skills
  • Work experience and community volunteering opportunities
  • Visits to careers fairs and local employers
  • Unbiased, independent advice from trained careers professionals
  • One-to-one planning and action-setting meetings in Key Stage 3 & 4
  • Support with applications, CVs and interviews

We follow the Gatsby Benchmarks, preparing young people for adulthood and life beyond school—whether that’s further education, employment, apprenticeships or training.

Our careers lead works closely with the school team, families and external providers to ensure every student is ready to exceed expectations.

Partnering with parents and carers

We know how important it is to include families in every step of the journey. That is why we:

  • Share monthly careers updates via email or phone
  • Involve parents/carers in EHCP reviews and careers planning
  • Welcome you to careers events, reviews and discussions
  • Encourage you to explore future options together at home

We are here to support not just the student, but the whole network around them.
