At ACNW, we support young people to develop the skills, confidence and independence needed to progress into employment, volunteering, further education and adult life.
Our study programmes are tailored to individual aspirations and IDP and EHCP outcomes, ensuring that learners can work towards meaningful and realistic future goals. Through practical learning opportunities, community engagement, work experience, employer visits and work-related learning, students develop the knowledge and skills needed for their next steps.

Students have opportunities to develop:
* Communication and teamwork skills
* Workplace expectations and professional behaviours
* Independence and daily living skills
* Community participation and active citizenship
* Travel training and personal safety
* Confidence, resilience and self-advocacy

Our college café provides a practical working environment where students can develop customer service, food preparation, teamwork and communication skills. Alongside this, learners access community-based learning opportunities, enterprise activities, employer visits, guest speakers and work-related experiences that help them build confidence and prepare for adult life.
We work closely with students, families and partner organisations to support positive destinations and successful transitions into adulthood, ensuring every young person leaves college with the skills and confidence to achieve their potential.
