How we support your child’s future
We work closely with Careers Wales who provide support and advice to our Welsh learners from Year 9 onwards. For learners who are from English local authorities, they have access to independent specialist careers advisors.
- Career Advisors are invited to all annual reviews for transition groups including Post-16 pupils. This helps us identify opportunities towards work related learning, as well as supporting and advising on curriculum pathways, training and career opportunities.
- Our dedicated Transition Officer also attends annual reviews and supports young people who will be moving onto their next steps.
- 1-1 meetings to discuss potential options for their future.
- Support with applications to further education and courses.
- We arrange visits to colleges and careers first to allow our young people to explore their options.
- We invite guest speakers into our school to inspire pupils and introduce them to new possibilities
