Our uniform is designed to be practical, maintainable and good value for money. Please ensure all items of clothing are clearly labelled with your child's name, and for safety reasons we ask that young people do not wear jewellery in school.

We provide breakfast and lunch at our school, with weekly menus full of delicious meals for our young people to choose from.

One of the ways we can make sure young people have a positive schooling experience is by giving them the opportunity to have a say. Our school council allows pupils to voice their opinions and ideas on how we can continue to improve and grow as a school.

We strive to keep parents fully informed and involved in their child’s education. We are in regular communication with parents and local authorities, and will keep you updated via email, telephone calls and face-to-face meetings which can be daily, weekly, monthly, or as and when required.

We hold termly Individual Education Plan (IEP) meetings, which can be face to face or virtual, during these meetings we discuss your child's progress/attainment and set new objectives. At the end of each academic year, you will also receive a written report.

Staff at Talocher School understand their pupils’ needs very well. They have strong working relationships with all pupils and treat them with equality and dignity.
