Trevor Torrington
Chief Executive Officer

Trevor is Chief Executive Officer for Aspris, following five years as CEO of the Priory Group and a further seven years in the same role for Priory Healthcare.

Under Trevor’s leadership, Priory Group strengthened its role as an inpatient provider for NHS Trusts. It successfully integrated Priory Healthcare with Partnerships in Care and opened its first overseas mental health facility in Dubai. Priory also then opened a tenth Wellbeing Centre in Harley Street, London and its first specialist school outside the UK, in Abu Dhabi.

Outside of work, Trevor is a Trustee at Disability Initiative and enjoys playing golf, watching sport and travelling.

Ryan Jervis
Chief Financial Officer

Ryan joins Aspris having previously held the position of Chief Financial Officer for the Priory Group. He has over twenty years of finance experience across both corporate and advisory roles. His healthcare experience includes serving as Chief Development Officer for Cambian plc and Cygnet Healthcare, in addition to senior finance roles with Al Noor Hospitals plc. 

A qualified Accountant, Ryan brings a combination of finance and industry experience. He has led and completed numerous corporate transactions across the healthcare, engineering and industrial sectors, with both publicly listed and private organisations. This experience includes a broad range of M&A, capital restructurings and corporate refinancings.

Outside of work Ryan spends as much time as he can walking and hiking with his family and the dogs in the beautiful South West countryside, as well as time in the kitchen cooking and entertaining friends and family.

Tina Walton
Chief Service Officer

Tina Walton worked for the Priory Group for over 13 years before moving over to Aspris, as its Chief Services Officer. Tina’s main responsibilities are to develop strategies, provide leadership and governance for the departments delivering Corporate Services. This encompasses IT, HR, People Services, Estates and Facilities Management. She is also responsible for overseeing major corporate programmes, projects and business transformation that include acquisition integration, IT system procurement, Estates portfolio opportunities and improvements.

Tina has over 25 years’ experience of managing large-scale systems and infrastructure implementations, along with 13 years delivering M&A integration programmes within the care sector/education. She was previously the Operations Manager for a software house, supplying services to the Care Sector.

When not working you will find Tina spending most of her time with her many animals that she keeps on her small holding. Tina’s other great passion is anything ‘Disney’ and she loves visiting Disneyland, where she has been known to queue for hours to have her photo taken with Eeyore.

John Anderson
Chief Operating Officer, Aspris Education

John is the Chief Operating Officer for Aspris Education having previously worked for Priory Education and Children’s Services for over 10 years before moving over to Aspris.

John began his career at COMPAQ (now Hewlett-Packard) and qualified as a Process Engineer. He then retrained to be a DT teacher in mainstream schools, before making the switch to SEMH (social, emotional and mental health) schools. Since joining Priory/Aspris, John has progressed his career working in multiple roles from Aberdeen to Kent, including Head Teacher at Sheridan School, Regional Manager, Operational Director and Managing Director.

Outside of work, John has a young family and enjoys every moment of being a dad. You’ll often find him doing outdoor activities such as spending time at the coast, camping, cycling and walking with his wife, children and dog Harley.

Paula Stanford
Chief Operating Officer, Aspris Care

Paula joins Aspris Children’s Services as the Chief Operating Officer for Aspris Care. Prior to this, Paula worked for the Priory Group, where she was a Managing Director and then Chief Operating Officer in the Healthcare Division.

Paula's career in health and social care spans 22 years. Having trained as a mental health nurse, she has worked in operational settings from Nurse to Chief Operating Officer in the public and independent sector, including significant experience leading specialist health and social care services for young people.

In her spare time, you’ll find Paula shopping, swimming, dancing and listening to music.

Caroline Mathers
Chief Executive Officer, Sandcastle Care

Caroline Mathers joined Sandcastle Care in 2019 as an operations manager, where she supported growing the company to 52 children’s homes and progressed to being the CEO in 2021.

Following the completion of her childcare related degree in 2004, Caroline (also known as Caz) began her career working in a 12-bedded children’s home in the Lake District. Over the last 18 years, Caz has worked in care looking after children and young people in children’s homes and residential school settings. Caz has worked up from being a waking watch, team leader, deputy manager, registered homes manager, service manager and responsible individual to being operations manager and today as a CEO.

Outside of work, Caz enjoys spending lots of time with her family and friends. Caz is also partial to extensive shopping trips, and likes to relax and go swimming.

Will Goodwin
Chief Operating Officer, Priory Aspris Middle East

Will Goodwin joined the Priory Group in 2015 and led Priory's Education and Healthcare market entry into the Middle East.

Will has lived in the UAE since 2011 and is based in Dubai. He has a breadth of experience managing large and complex business units in the UK and Middle East. Prior to working with Priory Group, Will led the Middle East Healthcare division’s market entry strategy for Serco. He sat on the Board of Serco Services in Saudi Arabia and directly managed 600 personnel.

Outside of work Will enjoys outdoor cycling and watching rugby. He would love to be playing but unfortunately he is not as flexible as he used to be.

Matthew Atherton
Director of Business Development

After leading Priory Group’s marketing operations for 8 years, Matthew is now Director of Business Development for Aspris. He has 21 years’ experience of leading marketing, brand, customer contact and communications strategy across a diverse range of organisations, including those in the healthcare, education and charity sectors, alongside extensive experience working with local authorities.

Outside of work Matthew spends most of his time with his young family and driving ‘Dad’s Taxi’, with the remainder spent trying to keep up with his younger and considerably faster team mates on a cricket field.

Jane Stone
Director of Governance and Risk

Jane has extensive experience across a variety of clinical roles, including the management of adult and young people’s mental health services, substance misuse programmes and secure and learning disability services.

During her time in the NHS Jane held Board level Director of Nursing and Chief Operating Officer roles, joining Priory Group in 2012 where she was Group Director of Nursing from 2016 and latterly Chief Operating Officer for Priory Healthcare. Jane is a Registered Mental Health Nurse with current Nursing and Midwifery Council registration.

When Jane isn’t at work, you’ll find her knitting, reading and listening to or going to music events – again, not at the same time!

Clair Dunn
IT Director

Clair was Group IT Director at the Priory Group for 13 years before moving across to her role at Aspris.

Clair taught for many years before embarking on a career change into IT. She has over 20 years’ experience in the IT industry, having worked her way up from an IT Field Engineer position at British Aerospace. She has also worked for a large software house, providing systems to the Healthcare sector.

In her spare time Clair enjoys spending time with her family and close friends. She also has a passion for two other things – murder mysteries and tennis, but never at the same time!

Louise Watts
Director of Human Resources

Louise has a background as an HR and employment law solicitor with over 20 years’ experience moving into human resources management and leads Aspris’ Human Resources teams. She joined the Priory Group as In-House Solicitor before moving into the role of Head of Central HR, becoming HR Director for Education and Children’s Services and Central Services in August 2019.

Louise has previously progressed to Partner level as a solicitor in Private practice for a law firm in the East Midlands before taking the role of Solicitor and Head of HR for a residential and community drug addiction service.

When not working Louise can usually be found out walking her fox red labrador Ruby or dreaming of, and planning, adventures around the world.

Gary Bradley
Director of Estates and Facilities Management

Before joining Aspris, Gary spent two years as Director of Estates at Priory Group. Gary originally joined Priory Group in 2014 as a Project Manager in the Healthcare Division. Following a brief stint as Programme Manager, he moved to Adult Care where he took up the role of Operations Director for a year.

A year as Director of Projects in the Healthcare Division was followed by his tenure as Director of Estates, where he led the re-structure of the Projects and Estates personnel into a single team. His team oversees all Estates-related activity at Aspris, including associated projects.

Gary previously served for 20 years in the UK military and he has a Masters Degree in International Liaison and Communication. Gary’s interests outside of work include the great outdoors and family travel adventures.

Laura Neubauer
Head of Legal

Laura joined Aspris in June 2021 as Head of Legal to establish the company’s legal function. Laura and her team support the business with all aspects of legal, regulatory, H&S, data protection, corporate, commercial and property matters.

Laura qualified as a Solicitor in 2009 after training at Dundas & Wilson LLP (now part of international law firm CMS) and spent over seven years working for the Priory Group, as well as having experience working in legal teams in other sectors.

Laura spends most of her weekends trying to wear out her young children in the hope that they sleep past 7:00am, and also enjoys going to the theatre and good food in nice restaurants.
