In recognition of the differing specialisms operating across Aspris Children's Services, we are delighted to now introduce two operational divisions in the UK – Aspris Education and Aspris Care, which will operate under the overall Aspris Children's Services banner.
Sandcastle Care to join Aspris
Aspris, the leading specialist education, residential care and healthcare provider, is pleased to announce that Sandcastle Care has now joined the group as a wholly owned division. The combined group will have annual revenues of over £200 million and will continue to be led by Trevor Torrington.
Sandcastle is a residential childcare provider based on the Fylde Coast in the North West of England and shares many important values with Aspris, with a focus on high quality, highly nurturing and life changing residential childcare in small homely environments. Both organisations are majority owned by Waterland Private Equity and following the combination Sandcastle will retain its name and brand while operating as a division of Aspris, with Caroline Mathers retaining day to day responsibility as Sandcastle’s CEO.
Financial terms of the transaction are not disclosed.
Trevor Torrington, CEO of Aspris, said: “We are delighted to welcome Sandcastle Care to the Aspris family. Sandcastle has a strong reputation for providing life changing childcare services and is an excellent fit, sharing our passion for transforming lives through quality education and tailored health and care solutions. We look forward to working with our new colleagues to grow our offering in the UK and Middle East.”
Ryan Hallworth, Investment Director at Waterland Private Equity and Non-Executive Director at Aspris added: “We are immensely proud of Sandcastle’s trajectory over the last three years, which has seen it grow from 16 to 52 operational homes while maintaining excellent care ratings. Following the creation of Aspris last year, its combination with Sandcastle is the next logical step as we continue to build a world leading specialist care and education provider.”
Children and young people across our schools, colleges and homes have been getting creative recently after a competition was launched to inspire the final designs of the new behaviour icons for Aspris.
